The Family Legacy Continues at Stocks Draperies

For nearly forty years, the window coverings business located at 2725 Fulton Drive NW has served Stark County, providing top-notch window fashions to its customers.

The heartwarming tale of this family-owned enterprise, started by Don and Nikki Stock, was recently shared by The Repository.

The Top Choice for Quality Window Treatments Since the 1970s.

As his wife, Nikki, a talented seamstress, supported him through college by crafting clothes for others, Don suggested the idea of making draperies for people’s homes.

As their clientele expanded, they eventually outgrew their home setup and moved to their present location. The couple devoted endless hours of hard work to build their business, focusing on excellent customer service and earning a reputation as a reliable pillar of the community.

Now, after many successful years, Don and Nikki have passed the reins of their cherished business to their son, Nick Stock, who took over in April after working for his father since 1997 and being involved in the industry for four decades.

Becoming a Gallery Dealer For Hunter Douglas

As one of the largest window-covering companies in the country, Stocks Draperies has recently renovated its 1,600-square-foot showroom with a sleek and modern design.

Their showroom now showcases their own workroom, led by the skilled seamstress Amber Cybak, who has been an integral part of the team since 2014. With her expertise and a degree in interior design from Kent State University, Amber crafts custom-made draperies that guarantee a perfect fit and a unique appearance.

Amber’s dedication and love for her craft are evident in her work, and she takes pride in her ability to create anything from fabric.

“My mom had hands of God; she saw something and made it,” Nick Stock said. “Amber’s the exact same way. She’s been my right-hand person.”
